Anna Gould

LPC, NCC

“Whether you’re stepping into counseling for the first time, reconnecting after a break, or therapy has been a steady part of your journey, my hope is to offer a warm, supportive space where you’re welcomed exactly as you are.”

Anna works with individual adults, couples, and families. She approaches each client with curiosity and compassion and seeks to understand each story through cultural, spiritual, and familial context.

Anna helps clients explore thoughts, beliefs, relational patterns, and coping strategies that may hinder a fulfilling life. She has a strong calling to work with Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families (ACA) and those affected by substance abuse, generational wounds, and adverse childhood experiences.

Anna supports couples seeking premarital counseling, ongoing relationship check-ups, or guidance after betrayal. She understands that relationships can hold both our deepest wounds and our greatest healing.

Anna works with women in all stages of life, with a special focus on mid-life transitions. She helps women process the physical, emotional, physiological, and relational changes of this season and supports them in regaining clarity, confidence, and connection.

Anna uses evidence-based methods, including Prepare/Enrich and the Gottman Method for couples. She is a Gottman Level 1 trained clinician, a member of the Gottman Relationship Check-Up Network, and a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator.

Her work with individuals integrates ACT, EMDR, Attachment-Based Therapy, Inner Child Healing/Reparenting, and other trauma-informed approaches. She welcomes the integration of a client’s faith when requested.

Anna is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and a National Certified Counselor through the NBCC. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University and additional certifications in Addictions Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy.

“I first began to understand the love of God and what it means to walk in relationship with Him at age 17. My healing has unfolded slowly—shaped by grace rather than pressure, and by curiosity rather than fear. I know this is not everyone’s story, and I hold your experiences with deep care.

My journey shapes the way I sit with others: gently, patiently, and with the understanding that trust is earned over time.

My hope is that in our work together, you feel safe enough to set down old survival strategies and imagine new ways of being. Whether faith is central, tender, or still unfolding, you are welcome here.”

Outside the office Anna enjoys time with family and friends, walking outside, reading, and listening to music and podcasts. She loves strong coffee and cozy coffee shops. She feels grounded on a quiet beach in the early morning and finds joy in rainy days at home, board games, and puzzles.
